SCOPE OF SERVICES:

2.1. SMARTSENZ^® provides the following services:

2.1.1 Pest Services:

2.1.1.1 Rats and Mice: The treatment of rats and mice, also referred to as “rodents” includes, but is not limited to:

• A comprehensive pest survey to identify the source of the infestation.
• Humane trapping of rats and mice
• Sealing entry points and providing door sweeps
• Using natural repellents to keep rodents away (e.g., in vehicles)
• Using non-toxic lethal traps
• Using owl-friendly rodent baits
• Installing owl or bat boxes
• Long-term maintenance and education to ensure a proactive, effective rodent management partnership.

2.1.1.2 Cockroaches: The treatment of cockroaches includes, but is not limited to:

• Gel baits
• Monitoring traps
• Targeted spray
• Staff training regarding sanitation, waste management and food storage practices
• Maintenance advice

2.1.1.3 Ants: The treatment of ants includes, but is not limited to:

• Gel baits
• Baiting traps
• Targeted spray
• Staff training regarding food storage practices

2.1.1.4 Flies: The treatment of flies includes, but is not limited to:

• Baiting and trapping tools that attract flies, capture them, and prevent them from breeding. Our experts monitor the trapped fly population to ensure that the data used aids us in providing the best service.
• Exclusion methods to seal / create barriers where flies may enter your premises.
• Staff training regarding sanitation, waste management and food storage practices

2.1.1.5 Termites: The treatment of termites include, but are not limited to:

• Providing advice on how to make your property least attractive to termites.
• Using a completely natural product on termites and their nests.
• Targeted Termicide spraying (using the only blue label product in the country)
• Preventative/ repellent paint.

2.1.1.6 Mosquitoes: The treatment of mosquitoes include, but are not limited to:

• Assessment of your property and educate you on how to reduce your mosquito breeding sites.
• Use of biological control (bacterium) that targets mosquito larvae and black fly larvae.
• Conduct Indoor Residual Spraying (IRS) at the right season for malaria prevention.
• Provide insecticide-treated mosquito bed nets.
• Monitor mosquito populations using a mosquito trap. This trap allows us to assess mosquito species diversity and malaria risk.

2.1.1.7 Thatch Insects: The treatment of thatch insects includes, but are not limited to:

• ULV misting technology with a residual effect. Experts use specialized equipment to release ultra-low-volume (ULV) droplets into the thatch. Once the ULV droplets dry within the thatch, they form a microscopic layer of insecticide crystals which stay active for several months and ensure long-term protection of the thatch.
• Gas technology with no residual effect. Experts use specialized equipment to release gas into the thatch. Gas particles have no residual and therefore are safer towards non-target organisms in the thatch.

2.1.2 Other Services:

2.1.2.1 Bird Management: The management of bird infestations includes, but is not limited to:

• Installing and maintain visual deterrents in the correct places (e.g., reflectors)
• Installing and maintaining physical deterrents in the correct places (e.g., bird spikes, bird netting, bird wire)

2.1.2.2 Bat Management: Our expert team follows bat exclusion methods and provides bat housing to ensure that your property still gets the benefits of bats living nearby.


2.1.2.3 Eco-Friendly Weed Control: The treatment of weeds include, but is not limited to:

• Targeted herbicides
• Non-chemical fertilizer

2.2. Change in Services

We reserve the right to modify, expand, or discontinue any of the services provided, with or without notice. Changes to the services will be communicated through our website or other appropriate means.

2.3. Use of Service

Your use of our services is subject to compliance with any additional terms, guidelines, or policies related to specific services, as may be provided separately by SMARTSENZ^®

2.4. Requirements

It is your responsibility to ensure that you meet any technical or system requirements necessary to access and use our services. We are not responsible for any failures or limitations in service access due to your equipment or internet connection.

2.5 Subcontractors

SMARTSENZ® reserves the right to subcontract or delegate any part of the services to third parties as deemed necessary. However, any subcontracting or delegation will not relieve us of our obligations or liability under these terms and conditions.

2.6. Service Level Agreement (SLA)

Our services may be subject to service level agreements (SLAs), which will be outlined in separate agreements, if applicable.

2.7. Service Guarantee

While we make every effort to ensure the availability and accuracy of our services, we do not guarantee that our services will be error-free or uninterrupted. You acknowledge that our services may be subject to downtime for maintenance, updates, or other necessary actions.

In the event of service disruptions or outages, we will make reasonable efforts to restore service promptly.

We may provide customer support for our services. The terms and conditions of customer support, including response times and communication methods, will be outlined in separate agreements, if applicable.

Promotions

 From time to time, SMARTSENZ^® may run promotions, contests, or special offers (“Promotions”) on its website or through other channels.

Participation in Promotions is subject to these terms and conditions, as well as any specific terms outlined for each Promotion.

Promotions are open to South African residents who meet the eligibility criteria specified for each Promotion.

SMARTSENZ^® reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate any Promotion at its discretion without prior notice.

All Promotions are subject to South African law, and any disputes will be resolved in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of SMARTSENZ^® are not eligible to participate in Promotions.

Any taxes or additional costs associated with prizes or Promotions are the sole responsibility of the winner/participant.

By participating in a Promotion, participants acknowledge and agree to comply with the Promotion-specific terms and conditions.
